Katalin Pazmandi is a multi media installation artist & visionary painter, born in Hungary. In 2000 she graduated at the Karoly Eszterhazy College in Eger, Hungary, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Arts - Visual Art Education. She moved to the United States in 2001. In 2006 she has completed one semester at the School of Visual Arts in New York in Painting. She was Instructor of Record of Introduction to Sculpture class at the State University of New York at New Paltz and has received a Research and Creative Project Award for 2014. She is one of the recipients of the Sojourner Truth Grant in 2015 and she is a graduate of the SUNY New Paltz MFA Sculpture program. Currently she travels around the United States, looking for her future home.
I build sacred spaces and paint visionary paintings that want to materialize through me from higher realms. Being connected to my roots and to breathe in unity with our earth mother is one of the most important pillars of my life. From there I try to build a shelter that lights up the darkness.
